Many topics within the church community are being questioned as people now have the right to politely express their opinion without getting harmed or punished like they used to. Topics such as priests getting married, gay marriage and the acceptability of female priests are being challenged, however in the early church this wasn't the case. Jesus died for expressing and sharing what he believed in and Hitler killed Jews based on what they believe in. This is no longer a problem as individuality has not only become legal but is mostly supported by the public. The 3 topics outlined should also be supported as they reflect how one feels about themselves and what defines them as an individual. If everyone was exactly the same it would be a very boring world in which we live. Being able to freely voice our opinion was one large step, although in terms of distinct individuality and equality we have many steps to go.
Priests getting married is a very controversial topic. It has both positive and negative reactions amongst the community. Many believe that if it became legal the positives would definitely outweigh the negatives.
